Dell Mini 9
I ordered a Dell Mini 9 this week. It was $199 as the base price and a little over $300 with some upgrades and sales tax. I am very curious how this machine will perform. My plan is using this as my work computer and leave my MBP at home. My computing requirement is so low to perform my job — basic internet programs (email client & browser), text editor (for code), FTP client and I’m set! ...

Social Engine
I am working with some social networking software now for a client. The software is called Social Engine (www.socialengine.net) — nice software, clean code and good design. Nice article on one of the co-founders Charlotte Genevier ( http://www.iwillteachyoutoberich.com/blog/friday-entrepreneurs-charlotte-genevier-socialengine ).
I am feeling very humble and thankful right now.

audio books...lovin em!
Check out www.audible.com They are having a reduced monthly trial for the first 3 months only $7.95/month, then after that goes up to $14.95 month. Not bad - that monthly fee entitles you to a free download. I’m all over that…beats regular price from ITunes!
Still lovin fedora 8
I have been working with fedora 8 for weeks and still pretty happy. Although a recent security update broke it. I just had to add a “irqpoll” option to the boot parameters and all was well again. I bought a low-end Dell Inspirion 530S so I can have a dedicated development server and installed fedora 8 - for a low-end system its pretty quick.
always entertaining

This is awesome. I watched part of “Dude Wheres My Car” and was only subjected to 30 second commercials once in a while during the movie- no big deal for the free watch. They even had a hi-res version of the movie if you had Flash 9 installed.
